DISCIPLE NOW (D-NOW)
This is an in-town retreat, March 12-14, 2010, where students spend the weekend in host homes with students of their grade and gender and a college leader. They attend large group sessions with students from all over Fayette County and enjoy small group discussion in their host homes. Students experience a safe and comfortable environment where they can openly share about where they are on their journey with Christ and be inspired to grow closer to Him. Registration begins in January.
VERTICAL BEACH CAMP
Vertical is an exciting week at the beach full of fun, but more importantly, an environment for students to connect with each other and be challenged to go deeper in their walk with Christ. We're going to Student Life @ Orange Beach this year. Check out www.studentlife.com to find out more about this great ministry organization. We will open registration in the spring.
MISSION TRIPS
DSM is committed to sharing the love of Christ here and around the world. Each year we take three mission trips to give students the opportunity to learn how to serve, share their faith verbally, and connect with people of different cultures. Past mission trips have been to places like our own Atlanta, GA; Spartanburg, South Carolina; and Guyana, South America. Mission trips are revealed on November 15 at a special Missions Night during DSM Worship.
SERVING OPPORTUNITIES
Students have opportunities to serve within the church and in our local community through the Real Life Center, Summer Blockbuster, DSM Student Leadership Team, DSM Worship Band, or other ministry teams (drama, set design, video, etc)
